Hi

More news on Cervelo ....Garmin becomes Garmin-Cervélo in 2011.
After yesterday evening’s announcement that by Cervélo that it’s men’s squad was being dissolved at the end of the season, and this afternoon’s confirmation by Slipstream Sports that its Garmin-Transitions team would swap Felt bikes for Cervélo for the 2011 season, this evening they have announced that the new team for the 2011 season will be called Garmin-Cervélo.

Hasn't been much chat re Milram lately, and seems like none of the bigger names in the team have signed (or been announced) for any other team....

Leaving it a bit late, or is there light at the end of the tunnel :?:

Media, in Europe, take a chance to mention the possible merger of Lance Armstrong and the Schleck brothers team
using the headline "RadioShack or RadioSchleck?."

looks like a bike sponsorship deal with trek, as opposed to a merging of the teams. . .

Andy Schleck's new team gets sponsor

Whilst Saxo isn't really under threat, the exodus of a significant % of the teams talent surely must hurt him for races other than the TdF/GT's.

It's even reported that whilst Porte is under contract for 2011, he's even making noises about what the future holds ... Seems like when you bring in Bertie, everyone else want's to go ......

So what is the % chnage of the teams roster - it would have to be close to 50%, with most of that being serious talent ....

Seems like BBox is heading for death.... such a shame considering the year that they have had. Also late in the season for the guys to find a good home as well

Astana look to be in trouble for 2011,

"The UCI has announced a list of ten cycling teams that can be sure of receiving a ProTour license in 2011. For the remaining eight places, ten teams have qualified, but Astana is not among them. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise as the team struggled to provide financial guarantees last year, and the lack of their Spanish superstar Alberto Contador likely only adds to the troubles."

From cyclingnews ;

Seems that Clenbutador isn't Riis's only worry now - whilst the main 'owners of Saxo Bank are supporting Riis and Clenbutador, they may become an IT Factory sort of sponsor, as they are under Danish Investigation and trying to sell out of Saxo as a whole ..... all 3 of them ????

Very fishy indeed and must be making Riis worry a bit more ....
