6º stage
Distance: 205,6 km
Road – Stage
Departure: Bilzen, Belgium
Arrival: Heers, Belgium
Andre Greipel (HTC-Columbia) has his second stage victory achieved in the Benelux Tour.
After a hilly ride he was much faster than the Belgian Jurgen Roelandts.
Tony Martin retained his leader's jerse
Sky wanted Boasson Hagen piloted to victory, but he was (again) to lead up early.
Greipel was clearly stronger than Jurgen Roelandts.
Next year these two will be together at Omega Pharma-Lotto.
Cheers

No worries,
It's easier to just quote the facts, then all the "emotive" types here, can huff and puff, all they like.
"Huff and Puff" by giving a whole list of lame quotes, from the cowboy.
Let the results speak, for themselves.
Cheers.

Three leaves Four out of Seven, how does the song go, "Ain't bad".
cleverly laid trap
What's your purpose (your "proud" of your post)
Stick to trying to give some relevence to the topic.
I've seen the attitude of Chav, and he wouldn't earn respect from me (and many others it would seem).
The facts speak for themselves.

It is not the 'trap' part that I liked brentono, I just knew someone wouldn't read all the quotes and work out they didn't all come from Cav.brentono wrote:What's your purpose (your "proud" of your post)
No, rather, my purpose was to post a bit of a summary, a backgrounder if your will, of some of the comments that inflammed the rivalry.

It will be good to see them go head to head, and then the one upmanship and really start.
Still think Cavendish will win more of them, but only time will tell.

This was the sob story from the Guardian, of coarse.Britain's drop in the world rankings is also down to Cavendish's slide from eighth to 30th,
and to the oddities of qualification criteria designed by the International Cycling Union (UCI)
to globalise the sport.
Nine British riders qualified last year by virtue of the nation being ranked 10th in the world,
but falling outside the top 10 leaves them at the mercy of the continental rankings.
The problem is that the Europe Tour is made up of the second-tier events that Cavendish
and Team Sky generally avoid.
"s*** small races?" as it was put, earliersecond-tier events that Cavendish generally avoid.
Excuses, already (toolonglegs)
Don't sell out yet... wouldn't have made any difference.

Would be nice to see a profile of the course...Cav is riding the Vuelta and Greipel is not,if Cav comes thru it well he will be hard to beat if it finishes in a sprint.Whether that happens or not seems to depend on the course...and no one really knows how it will ride yet.
2 World Championships,15 Stages of the TDF,6 in the Giro,Milan San Remo
vs
2 Giro stages (one of which was a gift from Cav,which I am sure he regrets now) & 4 Vuelta stages (Points Overall)
...I know whos palmares I would prefer!.

Yes you do and the others who "think" he's so greatgo on about Cavendish
(One Sprint Wonder Boy)
I'm just showing the Facts Like it or not.
And the World Road Championship, will be the "best man" on the day.
And in my opinion, It definately won't be Chav
I leave it at that.
And I will be showing the others here, exactly the facts, and "they" can
make their own minds up. Which is fair. OK

His life has also been made easier with Boonen,McEwen etc been left out.I expect we will know more of Cav's form during the Vuelta...and Greipel's during the Tour of Britain.

You can be sure Greipel won't be doing every B race next year like this year...he will be aiming for the tour etc.
Sorry 1 stage win in the Tour de France means more than nearly all your lovely posted list put together...the only really big win is one Stage in the Giro.

Only time will tell when they come head to head, but I think brentono has rose coloured glasses w.r.t. Greipel.
Cavendish has won better races against better competition, and it's especially so when considering that he didn't have the key leadout man for the latter TdF wins, and lost some other key team mates for 2010.
meh, may an Aussie win in Geelong - RR & TT and U23 & Womens. Sweep the lot !!!!

I'm willing to wait and see.Only time will tell when they come head to head
And your "side" (since you think there are sides) has blinkers.but I think brentono has rose coloured glasses w.r.t. Greipel
The last Win, out of the last two rides (s*** small races), against mainly a bunchCavendish has won better races against better competition
of locals (Austrians), and the other was a third (Italy).
Sorry, did have another ride in Italy, Tre Valli Varesine
Elite Men: Bissone - Varese 199.13km
DNF Mark Cavendish (GBr) Team HTC - Columbia
DNF-is did not finish
Anyway, I have no great affinity to Greipel, there are others "more" for mine,
but on topic, I will watch the so called head-to-head with interest.
And my thoughts have been made, along with the facts.
Cheers,
BrentonO
