In cycling news story, it's the testing systems fault. He's still sticking to the "meat" defence, and now branching out to the "system fault" defence.
Wonder how long it will take to move to the "Floyd Defence - gotta do it or you lose..."

1) How many people are waiting to send him money for his legal fund?MichaelB wrote:In cycling news story, it's the testing systems fault. He's still sticking to the "meat" defence, and now branching out to the "system fault" defence.

2) He was a team mate of Lance Armstrong once and did LA encourage him to dope on clenbuterol? Will he spill and start a Spanish Inquisition?

Or the other riders don't want to help ....twizzle wrote:It's interesting that one of the other athletes banned for clen was able to use hair follicle analysis of the team to prove that they had all been exposed at the same time. I guess Alberto was the only team member special enough to eat the steak.
Or they let him have the "special" steak as a treat .....

I still can't understand how they can argue that if it was this mythical steak, why NONE of the other team members also tested +ve ?

AC had the biggest steak in the plastic bag. It covered all the other steaks and prevented contamination of all others.MichaelB wrote:I still can't understand how they can argue that if it was this mythical steak, why NONE of the other team members also tested +ve ?

Returning to cycling in General, makes it harder for teams to get sponsorship which is a shame having hoping that cycling was moving forward and presenting itself as a cleaner sport.

Brilliant !!!!AUbicycles wrote:Man, I can already picture this years TDF with spectators dressed as steaks and chasing the riders.

On some other forums, the discussion is much deeper, so deep in fact that the argument is that the receipt is for a particular cut of steak that was 3.2kg or so, but typically it's only 2.5kg, therefore it's dodgy
Bah, he had a banned substance, be a man and take the 12 months and stop whining.

(the Spanish cycling federation’s competitions committee is considering overturning the decision
due to legal considerations.)
+1Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero believes there is no legal basis
for punishing Tour de France champion Alberto Contador

Does he need more voter support at the next general election?brentono wrote:Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero believes there is no legal basis

These matters are meaningless to ask politicians to administrate. Talk about conflict of interest!

Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is allowed his opinion (and probably his carries more weight... )
