Dear Members, I am writing to seek your support, either as a competitor in Cronulla, or as a spectator in the new and exiting NSW International Grand Prix Series. The 5 day series will feauture both men’s and women’s races and will be staged at Bathurst (twilight), Parramatta (twilight), Gosfor (under lights), Googee and Cronulla. The NSW International Grand Prix Series will see Australia’s Olympic, Commonwealth and World Champions competing against the best cyclist in Australia and many international stars that are renowed criterium specialists. Interstate teams and twenty five international grand prix riders from overseas will make up the majority of the 80 cyclists to line up in the men’s events and 60 cyclists in the women’s races. Network nine is committed to the event bolstering the live national coverage of the Cronulla event to two hours from 12pm to 2pm on the Sunday as well as two hours of live coverage from Coogee between 2pm to 4pm on the Saturday. The racing is going to be fast and furious and we give you the chance to be part of the action by competing at Cronulla in the supporting events. Entries are open till Sunday 28/11/10 on the Cycling NSW website. For more information please contact me by email on: [email protected]
Re: New Australian Criterium seriesPhil Bates kindly wrote to me indicating next year they will try to also run a Masters Series in the Grand Prix, though possibly not at Gosford.
