They keep making the right kind of announcements....

There was also the reports that the CEO had "parted company" after only 3 months, apparently as a result of a difference of opinion of direction with Ryan !!!
Wonder what the truth was ?
It will be interesting to see who the signed list ends up being.
Standby to standby

Though they are both cycling legends and will bring great experience to the team, they don't bring young legs.

Jack Bobridge and the Meyer brothers have signed with Greenedge for next year
Now that HTC are disbanding at the end of the year- i wouldnt be surprised if Renshaw and Goss also sign with GE.

From Cyc Central website
"An "immensely proud" Mark Cavendish paid tribute to his HTC-Highroad team Friday a day after it was announced it would fold at the end of 2011 having failed to find a new backer.
Cavendish, who took his stage win tally on the Tour de France to a remarkable 20 last month, was already heading for fresh pastures with speculation suggesting
he will sign for British outfit Team Sky or nascent Australian team GreenEdge"

.
Yes Please!!!!!! - Mr Cav with Mr Renshaw riding for Green Edge

Just hope they actually co me up with a decent jersey design.

I dont think the Shreks will shed a lot of tears - they still have Jens and Fabian to be their workhorses.
Stuie is better off in a leadership role at GE as opposed to being a match for the schlecks to burn next GT - chalk and cheese those 2 positions

I wonder if Jens is still racing professionally next year. Still did well this year.
Back to GreenEDGE, I am considering that if HTC Highroad is closing, isn't Mark Renshaw then on the market. I hope he goes to a good team though with the Cav and Renshaw duo working so well - wouldn't be surprised to see them.. and other Highroaders keeping together.
Hypothetically, if GreenEDGE are going out to become a GC team - who would or should they put up as their lead rider (purely speculative).

Jens announced on Twitter just after the Tour ended that he will go around one more time if the team will have him (like you would ever say no!)
Think I recall Greenedge say they wont look for GC rides for a few years yet, maybe in time to grab Richie Porte at end of his new contract just as he really hits his straps.

They've already got Cam Meyer so you would think Porte would be the obvious Australian choice.

Vaughters tweeted this...
http://twitpic.com/66lhniI cynical person might say its his way of saying look....those guys were not much of a loss.
Or the half fullers would say look....we are fine.
Something inbetween? Who cares? exactly.
GE being at 15 at this stage is what caught my attention[projected for 2012]
woot!!
