I can not think of any better reason for a public holiday than a "Cadel " day

I know some don't agree, but his team played a big part in this. He arrived at the final ITT mentally and physically fresher than ever before, the whole environment has been great for Cadel.

It's a pity that the significance of this will be lost on so many Australians.

Damn right Chuck. Those blokes died for Cadel.

+1
the results today bear it out. I thought 57 sec was too much. In the end it wasn't nearly enough for the schlecks he tore 2 1/2 minutes out of them 8)

Cadel missed the Syndey Olympics MTB Gold with a broken collarbone. He was a shoe-in.

Now maybe next is London 2012 Gold :?: 8)

His team did a magnificent job considering the riders they have, no real pure climbers they were there when he needed them. BMC showed OML what could have been.

Can't remember the last time I had a beer at home alone, it's going down very nicely. Going to really enjoy tomorrow night's jaunt into Paris.

No idea how I'm going to get to sleep tonight.
