I never even get close, not even top 100 for past two years, my GC contenders fall off and break collarbones, arms etc. The road.cc fantasy game http://road.cc/fantasy-cycling-2011 is another matter, just outside the top 20 for world tour and giro (and I made bad mistakes in the spring classics and giro). But you don't want to play that game, the prize for the TdF comp is only a Trek Madone 5.2 and you have to pay shipping from the UK.

In as Holy Rollers.
I love fantasy sports but i've learnt you need a good 2 or 3 seasons to work it out. This will be my first one so i'm not expecting much...

Does anyone remember the team stage points from last year? I note that the first 5 positions get team points this year, but was it just first three last year? (Also, IIRC, the team points used to start at 6 but now start at 10). Am I imagining this?
And are the points for yellow higher at 6 this year?

I have spreadsheets from the last two years and the items you mention remain the same - I haven't done a complete check but I think it all remains the same. Cameron

Can someone who has done this before confirm for me when does the initial squad (ie. when you get their GC points) get locked?
In reading the game rules it appears that this occurs before the first stage? Does this mean you transfer in your sprinters etc before the first stage commences?
Agree with the comments re interface...very very average.

The initial squad is locked in at 23:59 AEST Friday July 1. That is also when you get your initial allocation of transfers to use. You have until 18:01 AEST Saturday July 2 to make any transfers you want to be effective for the first stage that is run that night. And you are right that you will want to make a bunch of transfers in that window. But, given the profile of the first stage, it is not obvious that Mark Cavendish is one of those... although after the TTT is another matter.

I can't either too... I am guessing it's a bug that's too close to the start of the event to fix.

Gooday Andrew, I am in as Tasmanians, I was hoping that there would be more of them but Goss & Porte will have to do for this year. I am letting Contador, Evans and Schlek in as Honorary Tasmanians. Mick
