An interesting question they put to Cadel is what he is going to buy to celebrate
or reward himself for the win. Cadel's reply is that he's got all the material things
he wants - what he has is "more than nice enough for me".
That's a refreshing change from the self-centeredness of many others in public life.
Cadel is going to be a promoters dream on the professional speaking circuit when he's
done with cycling.
Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us -Jerry Garcia

Would be interesting to know where he sees himself after he retires. Could you see him doing the team manager thing?wombatK wrote: Cadel is going to be a promoters dream on the professional speaking circuit when he's

It's a little OT but I liked the story that came in at #2 as well....

....certainly from the outside it gave the appearance of a cleaner Tour. Cadel winning helps the image of cycling imho. Fingers crossed there's no more nasty post Tour revelations

Earlier this week there was a report he and the podium brothers were going to ride in the Tour of Colarado (dunno if that's its official name or not) in late August. At best, it would seem be a flying visit only then...CommuRider wrote:ABC is reporting Cuddles is returning to Victoria next week!

From the Age, August 3, 2011
Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/cadel ... z1TvVrU04MCADEL Evans will parade through central Melbourne next week to have his Tour de France heroics acclaimed on Australian territory.
The Age confirmed last night that Evans, who has scarcely left his European base in the tiny Swiss town of Stabio since his monumental victory, will fly to Melbourne with wife Chiara to receive public and state receptions as part of a three-day visit.

Hope it's a motorcade. If he rides, it'll be over too quickly.
