That is one of my only 2 jerseys and I love it. Always turns heads and get some quite nice comments on it.

Sounds exciting.
Is it best to stay central? I noted someone said they ahd a car booked-would that be necessary ?

Also, quite new to this whole cycling thing ! Would it be best to take our bikes over? Bit paranodi about tranpsorting it, leaving it in hotel etc.
Adelaide is a small town really,so doesn't matter too much where you stay, getting accommodation can be a problem as we tend to have all our events/festivals on at the same time. Definately bring your bike, you can, and will ride everywhere i suspect.
Still plenty of motel and other accommodation options still available on sights like wotif.com etc. Some motels bump up their fees for the week, some don't, so a decent value motel is still available.

Well after last night's race I reckon Greipel has a chance of taking out the tour. Lotto were seriously good, dominated the last couple of laps with other teams struggling to keep the pace. GE and Rabo got to the front way too early and burnt everyone up. Then Greipel takes the sprint with ease. Very fast finish! It was a pretty good race to watch, I just wish the quality of the stream was better. Seeing Haas taking the primes was good too, Von Hoff up there as well.

Didn't they what. The last few laps were intense, the Lotto squad pretty much cracked the whole peleton by the time they came around on the last lap.

Can Griepel make it up the climbs, is he in the picture for GC? I don't know much about the different stages and difficult climbs etc. He is going to be hard to beat in a bunch finish.

i would think it is unlikely that greipel will take overall unless he wins every flat stage and gets the time bonuses. willunga and probably stirling will cause problems for him.

the favourites for the overall would be the classics type riders, guys who can sprint and climb. like edvald boasson hagen, heinrich haussler, allesandro valverde, simon gerrans, greg van avermant.... there are a lot of guys at this race who have a good chance of winning, i wouldnt say there is an obvious favourite right now.

and you never know what might happen on the road, nobody expected cam meyer to get into that break last year and stay away.
if i get killed while out on my bike i dont want a 'memorial ride' by random punters i have never met.

Anyone know if you can take CO2 cartridges and 'espresso inflate and repair' on the plane ?

CO2 cannisters are found under every seat in a plane within the lifejackets so they are not really all that high risk. However they are a prohibited item to take flying. There is no chance of getting them through on carry on, and if they are in your checked luggage and you do not declare them and are found then you have made a false declaration in regard to carriage of dangerous goods . The inflate and repair can is also compressed gas so it too is prohibited.

Greipel takes it. He's keen! Photo finish with Petacchi apparently. I've found the best way to follow live is abc grandstand audio along with http://live.cyclingnews.com/

Must be the new racing shoes kept him warm enough for the sprint. It was only 39 here today.

Same here, but with the SBS feed as well. Shame that race radio doesn't work in the wind; bit like our trains can't handle the heat, or the wet, or mornings ...

44km according to cyclingnews. Pretty big gap for only 44km remaining, has a chance I'd say.

Can't wait to watch it.

So does that make Gerro in a really good spot for the overall ?

What were the other finishing positions ?
