Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageI thought the ad segments were long, or at least longer than SBS's. Just an impression. Also miss race data eg. Location on course, distance to finish etc. Otherwise it's another Liggett and Sherwen Show.

Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageFrequency of the ads increased during the third lap around Aldinga, but now that they're climbing Willunga they'd better wait until the race is finished surely

Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageGerrans glancing at Valverde just before the line cost him the race imho. Should have jut pedalled through.
Valverde very emotional. Paul with some horrible Spanish lol. He is mixing Spanish with Italian...WT?. Need to do some more conjugation lessons Paul!! Victoria de oggi. Lol but nice try though Anyway nice to have Gerrans have the ochre. Hope he keeps it for tomorrow too. Good boost for GreenEdge on home turf if he does. Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageHOW GOOD is Paul Sherwen interviewing Alejandro Valverde IN SPANISH!!!!???!!!
Lets' see the rest of the ch9 team do that What is it with cycling? 30+ kmh and lycra???!!!
Re: TdU Channel Nine coverage
It wasn't Spanish. More Spanitalian. And Phil calling him Alessandro (Italian) when in fact his name is Alejandro (Spanish) which an Aussie commentator would probably shorten to Al. C'mon Paul and Phil, more practice at the Vuelta por favor! Amateur oenologist and green-friendly commuter.
Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageGreat stage and a fantastic finish that's as good as TdF stages, or better.
But back to topic. It was a great uninterrupted coverage toward the finish. Nice job Ch9 I'd say (starting from lowish expectation). Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageMust admit that the Movie team road a great technical race and any of you blokes and girls wanting to race well, I hope you took notice of the commitment
of the Movie teams lead up ride, to the sprint. This is what you need to do to reach the top of the sport or even, just your personal best in this sport and others! Foo I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.

Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageAnd Gerrans takes the Ochre!!
Massive, massive day for GreenEDGE tomorrow!!!!
Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageAustralia v Spain eh?
Jeez, this reminds me of our Davis Cup shenanigans a couple of years ago where Lleyton got heckled in Barcelona. Anyhoo, c'mon home turf peeps. Hope those at the TdU give GreenEdge the edge for tomorrow. They won't get a welcoming reception in Europe. Amateur oenologist and green-friendly commuter.
Re: TdU Channel Nine coverageGreat race today. Would have loved to see Haas stay away and claim the stage. Gutted that Gerrans didn't get the win on the line. Tomorrow will be a fantastic finish.
