He has already confirmed this in earlier media reports I read. Lots of bruises and will be in some pain. Hopefully he'll give Wiggo a run for his jersey.

Talk about damning with faint praise. It's a bit like saying someone is a better TT rider than fronky schlonky

Well to be honest I haven't seen a lot of evidence Goss is much of a climber (anyone got anything on him climbing well in strong company other than the lumps at the end of MSR)?. He's well down on the puncheurs who in turn are a far cry from the real climbers. I'd describe him as a sprinter who can climb a bit.

Well Greipel was considered worse than Cav for along time but on Stage 13 of the Tour he was the only sprinter to get over the final climb, leaving Goss and Cav behind. I think for whatever reason Goss (who didn't have the greatest start to the season ) has suffered this year always being around the mark but not quite getting back to his form from 2011. Fingers crossed for next year.

Chain snap... but at the start is where it has to happen considering the high gears and the effort required to get up to speed. Lets see if Sanchez can recover (and if I can stay awake)

Freaking pathetic. Race is just about to finish and we've missed 98% of the top 10 riders.

Foxtel channel 185. Full womens and mens ITT, ad-free during the events (ads were only in between the finish of the womens and start of the mens) and in HD.

Even got to see footage of Rogers with his support vehicle sporting a giant boxing kangaroo on the roof!

For the record, there was no noticeable spike in activity and enthusiasm in the forum after Wiggins time trial win. Nice effort from Tony Martin, hard to deny that he isn't a champion cyclist.

Was going to edit the title to include the Track events but can't seem to do it so who's looking forward to them. Personally can't wait for the Team's Pursuit.

Yeah you'd think there'll be a fair bit of reflection on that one. She's a champ though and gets an opportunity to bounce back in the sprint :) Mens team pursuit just beaten by a better team :|

So I just crashed, I did it on purpose... Taints Sir Chris Hoy's team sprint win.

Silly boy! Hasn't he noticed how sensitive this whole issue is at this Olympics?

was pretty obvious that GB leader crashed on purpose on day 1 of the track program when watching their reply. Once they said the rules were a restart if you crash within 30m i knew it was deliberate. Comes down to the UCI allowing such a rule though.

Was disappointed with Anna last night. Fingers crossed she can bounce back. It is amazing comparing her and Vic's build. You'd expect Anne to smash her but Vic has such a turn of speed out of those little legs.

Knew the pursuit team didn't have a chance so not really shocked there.

Yes her interview after said as much and I think she is strong enough mentally and physically to refocus!

The mens team was done by a better team definitely.

How come the triathletes are allowed to draft in their cycling leg? And many of them aren't even using aero bars. Am I missing something in my understanding of their rules?

Thanks. Makes the race rather meaningless when drafting is allowed. Interesting they weren't using a pace line to save energy while none was able to breakaway either.

I agree very silly its a runners event now that is where it really thins out. You need to be able to keep up in the swim and ride OK but you need to be able to run almost aswell as the proper distance runners. I dont like it personally but I think it was to make the events more exciting as it was in the end.
