Almost going from bad to worse. Mind you, at kleast he finished the stage that was wet and included a long wet descent.

When a sprinter (albeit one who can climb well) wins a stage with a Cat 1 mountain at the end, beats a noted climber (well, in the past he was noted) by 17 minutes, and that noted climber is also bested by a whole pile of other sprinters and finishes only 5 min before the autobus, something aint right.

Even if he is trying to lose time so that he can get in a break to win the stage, there hasn't been a glimpse of his real capabilities for a while now.

So after 3 stages, hes 78th at 21:14.

Whilst he has a contract incl 2014 with whatever the team is called now, will Trek (if they take over as rumoured), just pay him out and let someone else take on the task of rebuilding him ? It's not like he's got any WT points ....

Will be interested to see how he takes it when the new team won't sign Frank after his suspension

Well kudos to Andy, he made it to the end in the same time as the leaders, so he still could finish.

Whilst I make fun of him, I'd love to see him back where his talent says he should be, not where he is now. He's not doing himself any favours though ....

Well, two strages in a row that he hasn't lost time.

He was even 29th on the stage   Was he trying for the sprint or something ....

Maybe the articles from Becca have revved him up ??

Anyway, he's now lept up to 67th overall still at 21:14 behind Matthais Frank.

With only one hilly stage to come, but even that has 10km of descent to the finish line, can Andy Pandy even win a stage ? Then there is the ITT at the end. Only 26.8km, but can he lose 3 minutes or more ?

He's still riding and actually finished close to the front on the main group and came in with Cam Meyer, but still hasn't shown any real sparkle. Currently sits in 40th (AT) 22:37 with a hilly ITT to come.

Good to see Cam Meyer doing well and holding on to 10th. maybe can do well in the ITT and keep or improve his position.

Certainly has more chance than Andy does ......

So based on the performances so far this year, should Andy Pandy be picked for the Tour ?

I would not be selecting him but Radio Shack probably will just for the attention it will bring them.

Otherwise they are are left with chasing stage wins

Well I'll be !! Two stage races in a row finished ....

Did ok on the TT, but the climb was in his favour. Almost got beaten by Jens though, so doesn't say much.

Roll on TdF !!!

Well, Andy's listed to start in the TdF for the team

http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/100 ... start-list

What are the odds that he can win a stage or at least get in the top 20 ?

So, after completeing several stage races in a row, albeit with unspectacular results (but at least he finished), he did better than Gesink did at his National Championships by at least staying upright (Gesink fell in the neutralised part !!)

Apparently came in 10th 4:14 down on the winner Bob Jungels, and from other snippets, another uninspiring performance.

So should the bets be at which stage wil Andy Abandon ????

Does this mean you won't be picking him in your TdF fantasy team, where SBS have valued him =3rd behind only Froome & Contador ? :D

Well he actually has made it unscathed through the first three days, and is even looking like he wasn't going to get dropped on the climbs !!!

He is still in 45th position at 0:01 off the lead

He has finished with the main bunch for three days in a row !!!

has the tide turned :?:

I'd love to see him back at his best, but there is still a long way to go, and a TTT to get through tomorrow.

Oh, and well done to GT for riding through the last two days with a hairline crack to his pelvis. Take a note Master Schleck !!!

Andy is surprising some by still holding down 34th place and finishing with the peleton for the 6th stage in a row

All that may change though and he may have a "belly full of anger" with the news that Fronky it seems don't be riding with him in 2014. Or will he ?

May be a great chance for Andy to show some inner mongrel and blitz a couple of stages to try and get a new contract for 2014 and join his brother somewhere else. Either that, or really crumble .....

That's what I was alluding to, but hadn't read the article at the time.

Will be interesting to see who snaps Fronky up, if anyone does ????

Andy's ability to find a team that will that Frank as well will very much depend on how he goes in the mountains this year.

If he comes good then I believe he will leave Trek and have the bargaining power to take Frank with him. If he blows up (which to be honest is what I suspect will happen) he will stay put without his brother and moan all year about it.

He did pretty well last night! Can he hold that form into the 3rd week?
