I can understand a chest infection would affect your climbing, but descending?

For serious?

Some funny business going on with Wiggins this year, it's a shame he hasn't got the same setup with Leinders and Yates behind him which worked so well last year. Maybe swimming coaches like Kerrison aren't so good with the downhills after all? :wink:

Any ideas what's going on with Goss? Second sprint stage in a row where he finished minutes down and left Brett Lancaster to anchor the sprint.

Big difference between Nibali and Wiggo, Nibali crashes on that wet stage and he gets back on and keeps going.. Wiggo crashes and rides with his tail between his legs and bleeds time and then quits because he knows he cannot make it back

I have heard Goss is sick which is a pity as here really needs a win to boost his confidence.

The problem will be getting around Cav. Holly crap is he on fire at the moment.

Goss = ill.

Must say both OGE and Goss desperately need a win IMO. They put all their eggs in the sprint basket. Dangerous game vs Cavendish

I to think they need to broaden there range. Sprint finishing is not the way to win a tour. They need a GC rider with some supporters.

But are they currently looking to win the tour or stages? Team currently doesn't have a rider in the roster who can be a GC rider now. In a few years some may have developed enough to step up into the role?

From what they have said they are going to continue to focus in the classics (both early and late) seasons and stage wins.

To get the depth needed to make up even one team capable of battling at a grad tour would take alot of resources that I just dont think are available at the moment.

Yet a second tier team like Movistar seem capable of putting a team together that's competitive in the multistage races.

Cobo, Dowsett, Sastre etc.. that's not a mediocre team. Budget and team quality are not mutually exclusive...

They have a quality roster. Cobo winning in Spain and a fair share of other results.

But Sastre retired in 2011 :wink:

I have been under the assumption that they are only a pro continental team that has relied on their UCI points to get invitations to all the major events.
