As much as I want to stay up and watch it, I think the record-and-watch-in-morning will be the practical approach

But who is going to win it ?

:( Nightshift :( Better fire up the recorder. Not the same tho'.

Start list has not yet been released, but iirc Froome & Contador will be riding in preparation for le tour. No doubt Froome will be super keen to show his credentials as team leader.

Clembutador hasn't been the same since coming back from suspension - funny how often that happens

Anyone know who the other contenders will be ?

Pierre Roland, Purito, Samu are about the only ones I can see.

Cobo?! Surely you jest.

As for Bertie you could argue his Vuelta win was pretty meritorious, hope he smacks Sky silly with his little mate Purito.

Yes you are correct, my point was simply that I don't think he has shown the brutal acceleration he had in the mountains in 2007 & 2009.

Bookies seem to think it is a race between clenbutador & froome, with outsiders valverde & purito, name your price for the rest.

Contador has gone from winning flat TTs (beating Cancellera at the 2009 TdF) to not being in the top 50. He clearly has dialled back the doping. There are rumours of a new test for EPO which catches micro-dosing (Di Luca and Santambrogio caught at Giro for EPO), so the peloton will need to put on the brakes (so to speak).

contador looked like he wasn't happy with his position. he was popping his arse back into the saddle every 4-8 pedal strokes for the entire TT. just hypothesising, but maybe he had a fit problem, saddle problem, an injury or he has saddle sores or something. that, or he just can't TT when he's not on the gear...

great to see rohan dennis so emotional about it. great day for him.

Those with Foxtel... Eurosport. Although you have to put up with Keenan commentating.
Highlights of previous stage about 7.30 to 9pm. Stage live from 9pm to 11pm... Awesome.
Dennis was brilliant last night, Martin in a class all his own.

MichaelB, I said the same to some mates the other day. Albeefo will need to visit his favourite butcher for some contaminated steaks.

I think tonights stage has some high mountains in it. Should be good.

Contador didn't look good, but allergies are really bad at the moment ( yesterday was the first hot day of 2013  )... I wouldn't count him out in July just yet.

Rohan did well again and despite losing a bit of time, is still on the podium and still the leading young rider !!!

Not bad for a neo-pro !!!!!

I assume you mean Rohan? He was great, left it all out there 8) He seemed to be channeling Serhiy Honchar with the gear he was pushing

Pity Michael Rogers couldn't hold on, but a great result from Rohan Dennis, looks like he has sealed the white jersey

Wonder why Rogers faded ?

Anyway, 3 Aussies in the top 10 at PN, and one of them a neo-pro, that's pretty damned good.

Well done to all.

Froome is looking strong, but can he withstand that pressure and expectation ???

Froome is doped but Contador has scaled it back in recent years (unlike 2007). Froome will go full retard in the TdF. Handy disease that Bilharzia.
