Tour of Qatar 2014

Anyone else surprised at the speed on the tour of Qatar - Stage 4 was 135 km & they covered it in 2:22:34 for an average speed of 56.8km/h :shock:

Impressive, but they did have a big tailwind.

Yeah huge side / tail wind the whole way ... up to 50kmph wind 8)

I think it was this one that I watched last year or the year before, that showed them doing 80kmh on the flat, a direct shot from the field to the speedo of the camera bike. :shock:
