How's everyone's views of it so far?

How are our chances?

Is Mathew Lloyd going to make a last minute dive for a place?

They say it's the longest and toughest olympic course yet. at 242kms it's longer distance than any of the single TdF stages recently.

How boring is this track though?

Well... it's not just boring, it's horrible to look at.

Just massive freeways. No-one wants to see that.

They are way out of the city and into the mountains. That's not smog.

I know the official line is water vapour  .
But reading the personal blogs of a few riders it is not only water vapour, some guys are saying their eyes are burning and their lungs are suffering. They were warned that it might be postponed today for pollution but is obviously within spec.

Prove it. Looks perfectly like a hazy day in the Blue Mountains. You can actually get a hazy day without a smog.

In any case, concentrate on the race rather than being a whinger.

WT??

All pollution levels are off the scale. The air quality is of such a bad state, you wouldn't legally be allowed to work in it, in Australia.

Liggett at the start of the race was saying the smog isn't clearing from the circuit.

And if riders are complaining of sore eyes and lungs, that's exceptional ozone pollution right there.

Why are you taking any criticisms towards China so personally ?

They were thinking of postponing the race, would you do that if it was just haze ?

Who is the guy commentating with Phil Liggett? He's a total moron and talks like and absolute bogan.

"I reckon"

"Ya know?"

"Like..."

"Them two riders are doin' a great job"

constantly grunting as Liggett is talking, and interrupting as well. Whenever Phil makes an observation this dear friend pipes up and says "I was just about to say that." Show me how to do it right!

don't they test these morons for basic command of the english language and a knowledge of the sport they're commentating? An IQ above 70 wouldn't go astray either.

Michael Turter - one of Australia's best ever track riders.

Doesn't mean he can talk though ....

la course n'est pas sur le télé francaise? Je ne le crois pas, regardez les autres chaînes!

Je preferais le commentaire francaise plus que Mike Turter.
