Is Quintana overrated? His attacks looked weak...

I feel like this is like last year at Alpe d’Huez, at the end, when it came down to it, he can only get 8 seconds over Froome......

Whilst Mollema bridged and Porte stayed strong...

I thought they were only meant to wait for GC riders

It looked like Froome was struggling early on the climb, sitting 5 or 6 riders back from the lead.
He looks very untidy on the bike but just when you think he is gone away he goes and attacks.

Absolutely nothing wrong with him trying that. I was just surprised the other teams let him get away with it - especially Porte. I'm assuming wearing the yellow jersey gives you some standing and respect in the peloton - interesting contrast with Sagan's comments earlier in the tour in the green jersey not getting him respect.

Quintana getting a tow from the Mavic neutral support motorbike. Or was he just doing some wheel truing while riding up Ventoux?

LOL. Had to watch the video twice to spot it.

This has certainly been an interesting TdF.

Froome running without his bike, technically he could of been DQ'd. He should of carried his bike 8)

I agree with the decision to give a time based on where they were in relation to other riders at the time of the crash

I think the right decision was made and the times reflect what happened. Now the next decision is how to stop it happening again.

Good to see Porte is fine, nasty accident. Pity about that puncture earlier in the Tour.

Quintana is looking like he is just short of being able to challenge Froome.

As for slowing down the race to get your domestiques back, surely it is up to the other teams to stop this happening or live with Froome getting his domestiques back.

We'll see how the last week in the Alps pans out but it certainly is Froome's race to lose now.

So did Aru get no penalties from his repeated sticky bidon / slipstreaming the team car / needing rear brake checked etc on Friday night? It was pretty blatant as he struggled to get back to the group.

Curious, I thought ORICA had Scott bikes but Yates was on a Trek TT bike? :?

Totally confused now, as when I was watching it this morning, they had a picture of a young bloke on a Trek, as they were talking about him. :?

Nothing controversial - just some great video footage from stage 13. Really gives an impression of speed in some of those towns. 8)

Yes Movistar made a big mistake. They should have kept riding.

The first week of this Tour was pretty good. I was really in to it. I'm quickly losing interest.

For one, The motorbike incident the other night really put me off. I can't believe the organisers can't make it safe enough for these guys to actually ride up a mountain. I know it's also the 'fans' fault, but seriously, 1.2km from the line on Ventoux and no barriers?

Next. Froome is now well ahead and I can see a very Sky dominated final 8 days doing their usual thing. I can't see anyone strong enough to attack and actually put Sky/Froome in to the red enough to make a difference. I think it's likely Froome will also get more time on the uphill time trial.

Mollema is the surprise for me so far, doing very wekk. I wouldn't have picked him for a podium before the start.

I'm still really hoping Quintana can come good in week 3 and the effort Froome has put in starts to take its toll, but I don't see it happening.

Full props to Froome though, he's raced well, and attacked when he can to gain time. He's showing he is a worthy champion.

Looking for another top GC contender to launch an impressive breakaway and have froomey reach his limits and bonk.

The Mount Ventoux climb incident woke me up.

Meanwhile in the real world Froome has shown his dominance on the flat in the wind, on the climbs and on the descents. He's all but dismantled everyone else.

If Froome win's GC this year, it will be a well deserved victory

Wandered up to the finish line an hour ago... having the TDF finish in my village is the limit of my TDF this year :|
I will be surprised to loose any of my KOM's in the last 10 kms of the stage with the head winds they will be riding into

I was watching the tt last night and found some of the booing and negative gesturing toward Froome quite confronting. Pretty disappointing imo :(

Ouch. That's gonna hurt.
Wind on the tt stage got Julian Alaphilippe a bit offline.

I don't understand why, the managers would let them go out on a full dsc, when the wind was so bad? :?
