G'day

Signs of things to come?

Lance Armstrong, Max Taam and Len Zanni, riding as Team Livestrong, won the 12 Hours of Snowmass in Colorado USA on Sunday, beating endurance racing juggernauts Dave Wiens, Mike Kloser and Jay Henry of Team Beaver Creek for the men’s team title.

The 12 Hours of Snowmass was the next stop for Lance Armstrong’s return to competitive cycling, over an unusual 12-hour race format that included no nighttime riding; the gun went off just after dawn at 7am and competition wrapped up by 7pm. ...

When i first heard LA was coming back and that he was aiming for the TDF 09 i figured he would do what he usuallly does and only really race that one race. But since he made his annoucement that his returning it seems to be more focused on participating in races around the world ( like the TDU and other races like that). Considering that LA didnt like to compete in too many races in the lead up to July im wondering if maybe the TDF isnt really the primary aim, and just getting out there and developing intrest in his LIVESTRONG cause (slash brand) isnt the real reason for the comeback.

So the take home message is that to get strong on the road bike, get racing on a MTB.
