MS Gong Ride Criterium

In the middle of watching the MS Gong Criterium, and I can't help think, firstly, what an excellent program put together by SBS Television, and how well it complements the Gong Ride as well.
NSW has struggled for televised cycle racing for a while, with a few years here and there (Cronulla etc) Hopefully, this event will continue for years to come. I've heard it's another Phil Bates event. If Tony Abbott was still PM,who knows, Phil may have been given a knighthood.
