If Astana are welcomed back to the tour next year he will be extremely hard to beat, LA or not.

His definately the best GT rider around at the moment, the question is who will he ride for next season?
Alberto Contador
If LA does sign with Astana which we should know by the end of today i think we will see Bertie going over to Caisse d'Epargne they dont have a GT rider, Valverde has had his shot, and his the best spanish rider at the moment. Maybe the russian mob Katusha seeing as they probably have the money to by out his contract. We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works (Douglas Adams)
Hopefully lance will come back as a 'super-domestique' and let Contador lead, i mean, the guy won 7 tours for chris-sakes! As my mum would say 'let someone else have a go!'
Don't know if the LA ego will allow this though, time will tell. Tom
