Postby find_bruce » Mon Mar 28, 2016 1:00 pm
Sadly Antoine Demoitié has died from his injuries after crashing in Gent-Wevelgem & then he was run over by a motorbike
It doesn't get easier, you just get slower

More incidents with motos/vehicles on the course. As if road bike racing isn't dangerous enough. So completely unnecessary.

The sheer number of motos in a race is astonishing.
In one of this years races I counted 8 motos accompanying the solo breakaway rider.
In another a rider was run down and injured by a medic moto (which did not even stop to assist) overtaking at high speed.
This is likely to lead to a riders strike.

Get rid of the media motorbikes and use cameras on bikes and drones.
