Many hilltop finishes and less ITT kms for 2009, though there will be a TTT. Evans will need all the best his team can drag out of their sorry asses.

Which means if I can get into the etape I will be riding the stage to Ventoux!
No Alpe d'Huez
Poor cadel! Fastest Century: 100km in 2:52 at 35 km/h
2008 Merida Scultura Evo Team
I reckon if they had the Alpe d'Huez every year no-one would turn up any more, such is the brutality. -Drugs are for people who can't handle reality-
In this current climate of riders testing positive, team time trials would make me nervous. If a rider in a TTT was found positive would all riders in the team be disq?
No love for Cadel in 09 it seems. Pity bout Alpe d'Huez, awesome to watch. Mountain stage finish will be exciting though.
Love the idea of Ventoux on the penultimate day.
I do wonder if the team time trial favours Astana a little too much though
Evans is going to have a hard time of it. Lost a good domestique, and hasnt found a replacement. Wrong time of year too as most of the good riders have already signed. Course really doesnt suit, the TTT could be a total disaster ( image Cadel looking over shoulder trying to find were his teammates are). Looks like Cadels best chance was last year, ASO seem bent on low TT ks lots of mountain top finishs all of which are against Cadel.
We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works (Douglas Adams)
I heard that when Lance announced his comeback that ASO rushed in some major changes to the route for next year...mainly to make it harder with less TT time. They don't want him to win!...but even thou he probably won't ride now they resulting changes do not suit a rider like cadel at all.His chances of ever winning a tour I think are gone...last year was his best chance but he let the pressure get to him way too much.
I am not worried about no Alpe D'Heuz as it dosen't need to be used every year. Real time results on the team TT will be scaring alot of people!...except Astana of course.
The return of the TTT! Awesome stuff... I really love watching these, seeing the whole team working together.
I also really like the chance to see the different national jerseys mixed in with the standard jerseys; it gives you a chance to see who is who. It's a shame for Cadel, but I think the best chance he had was this year.
