Pumped up for the Giro this year.
Agree it's shaping up to be a cracker.
Will be hoping for Chaves to do well

I just signed up for the free two week trial of Foxtel Now.
Watched the Grand Prix on Sunday night. Motorsport tragic who may have finally succumbed :D
But it also means I get Eurosport. If the coverage is good I may just keep it going.

I'll probably do the same as well.

Just need a few moments spare.

Unless there's a need to watch it live, wait for youtube the next morning/day.

Works on PS4, which we have, so no extra cost :)

Yes you do. Total for me, after the the two week trial is $39 per month.
I have resisted Foxtel for years, but knew the time would come when nearly every sport I like to watch would be on there.
Still not sure I will go on with it, but we will see.
Lack of sleep watching the Giro next week may see some poor judgement decisions made

Yep, know the issue re lack of sleep, but sometimes, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

We already have a PV doodad that gets us access to Foxtel Now/Go/whatever it's called.

Still have to subscribe to Foxtel Now - but it is cheaper than regular Foxtel. And there is a two week free trial on at the moment.

The Foxtel Now free trial is great. Last year I just waited until the 2nd week and watched the last 2 weeks. Note that with Foxtel Now, you cannot record to watch later, so must stay up late. Last year I watch the highlight the following afternoon. I was also able to record this by hacking the PC to screen grab the video. You are not supposed to be able to record Foxtel Now normally. Not sure if you can record with the IQ box?

If I am not going to watch live I may as well watch the highlights. During the day I will stumble across the stage results and spoil watching the stage.

I signed up for the Foxtel Now trial on Sunday because I was keen to watch the GP from Baku.
I have a feeling I will go on with it now as I enjoyed that. Getting to watch the Giro is icing on the cake.

Looking forward to the Giro starting tonight. I have had Foxtel for a long time and Eurosport seems to cover every cycling race that is on anywhere in the world. Their coverage of the Spring classics began before the race started and included the neutral zone. As much as I love the SBS coverage they just can't devote the same amount of air time to cycling.

Yes, the IQ box records but you shouldn't need to worry. There is usually a highlights (or final 30km or more) shown the next day, sometimes twice.

If you can't watch it live and you can't wait for the highlights then I would suggest going to http://www.steephill.tv first thing in the morning. They have a non-spoiler mode and there will be a video of the final bit of each race, which you can watch without knowing who won. Then click through for the race reports, winners interviews and standings etc.

A few stacks in the TT recon including Froome and Lopez, being able to continue, but Sitsou (sp?) not so lucky, cracking a vertabrae.

Dennis sitting in the hot seat so far, so good so far !!

Pizza Boy recorded a really good time for Movistar last night. I'm keeping an eye on him....surely he has to have a good race eventually?

And Rohan back in pink. Good tactical move that will last for a few days at least. Good luck

Back in pink? When was he ever in pink?
No doubt it was nice for him to complete his set of grand tour jerseys but it was not good tactics since he has gc pretensions.

Weird tactics from BMC to so aggressively grab the pink jersey so early on. Can only assume they are hedging their bets in that they think it's highly unlikely that Dennis will win overall so the next best thing is to have carried the pink jersey for a few days at least. Doesn't say much for their conviction in him as a GT winner.

Back in virtual pink until TD pipped him at the TT (yeah, celebrated a bit early).

Odd tactics, but having the pink means they get more air time and a leaders jersey is a leaders jersey, no matter what.

BMC need all the +ve stuff they can get at the moment, and since it was so close to their grasp, I think it made sense. Was only one short effort to get it, so why not. If it was 10 seconds they were trying to make up and had to do it three days in a row, different story.

As to last nights stage. YAWN Lasted about 10 min watching it and then couldn't be bothered. Looking fwd to the next few stages though.

Yes, that was exactly my thoughts. They don't really believe they can win the gc. And so their tactics become self-fullfilling.

I'm actually not surprised to see BMC in the pink. Given that Dennis was a med-long shot tbh, best they get as much coverage as possible right now. Their sponsorship issues and Andy Riih's death are no secrets. Look at the ICA fellas...out front all day if they can grabbing any sprint points they can gobble up, along with the usual Pro-Conti Italian teams. Gotta get that coverage.

There's probably a bit of "respect for the dead boss" going on too. Which is cool.

Dennis agrees with you that he is not in the GC hunt
