Gran Fondo Amy - where to stay?

There will be thousands of cyclist and their supporting families - where does everyone stay? Surely the hotels/motels would be long gone. What's everyone's plan to get to the event like Amy to ride and get back to Melbourne?

Theres actually a LOT of accomodation there. If you cant get anything in Lorne then try Aireys Inlet about 15 minutes north.
When I was there with Mobius last year the team stayed at Cumberland River Holiday Park in cabins (about 10 mins south of Lorne). Cheap and cheerful, quite adequate for a couple of nights. You can ride the bike from there to Lorne pre and post event.
