Stolen Bike Recovery

So...
i have found my stolen bike on facebook marketplace
used a second facebook acct, with a pic of my cat..
and said i was interested, got his address, ph number and name
passed it onto the cops, with my Stolen Bikes Australia rego number
sent email to cops , with bike in my house, in use etc
it was a custom build, and modifications
do you think the cops will pick it up?
or will they commit social media suicide, and not bother?
It has been replaced under insurance, so if recovered a whole other issue .
before you say, why don't you go do it, if they don't, i have epilepsy and no car
so between possibly having a fit , if i went to look at it, and having no escape vehicle
its in the hands of the professionals. not calling my own debt,
have i done enough?

Supposedly
They went and searched his house , and he said it had been sold on..
To someone overseas
Following up on it...
Then i found it on Facebook Marketplace Again, with Same Person...
who seems to be selling lots of odd things and multiple Cars ...
Personally i think it is a Fence/informant/ Protected by Police ...
Or an Undercover Cop... Trying to catch people....

They seem more Concerned in perth for stolen Kayaks and alcohol, than pushbikes
So they continue to get away with it. and it probably doesnt help fundraise for the Government of WA
or meet there Key Performance indicators
i gave them serial numbers of forks, modification identifiers from Talas to Float, Grip Colour and manufacturer
Hell it even has the same gripshift i put on it..

stashed somewhere other than his home. possibly a storage unit. if I was in Perth I'd offer to test ride it away for you...

why not tell the Insurer where their property is...they'll probably be interested if it was a substantial payout

I've told the insurer,
but not my job, to follow up on this anyway
I'm tempted to organise this to happen, but i told the cops....
And there seems to be bigger issues at play, that they think i'm to dumb to see..
its already been tweeted etc ..
but i only go so far

MAJOR UPDATE
Had a call from the police today
Following up on their line of enquiry
And possibly because i tweeted and retweeted myself finding my bike on facebook marketplace multiple times
The police said that they are is posession of the bike, and will inform the insurance company

Does anyone know how Bikesure deal with recovered bikes ?

Can't speak for Bikesure, but others tend to auction thru places like Grays and Fowles. I have acquired a couple this way.

Glad you have closure and a resolution on this...
