really stiff sora levers

Postby Bay23 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 10:34 pm

so i've left my bike unattended at school throughout the day, and in the afternoon when climbing a hill i realised that my thumb lever was stuck. I was left to climb hills with the largest chain ring on  but later found out that it needed some serious force to move. Ive done a bit of research and im guessing someone had fiddled with on of those barrels by my downtube but i have no idea how to fix it and down want to make it any worse but stuffing around with it.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks.

Thanks Andrew

i ended up taking the cable off and putting it on again to get rid of all the tension.

Btw is it normal to be shifting in "halves"? i only realised that today

There is a "trim" function, which is to move the cage a small distance so the chain doesn't rub.
