If you haven't applied vinyl before Luke, it's time you learned.

Draw a vector file of your image and get someone to cut it and apply some application tape.
Wet the bike frame where the stickers will go (to provide some slip) and gently apply the sticker begining with the centre of the image on the head. An extra pair of hands to control the sticker may be helpful (just in case). When in place fine tune the position of each piece of the sticker and press on firmly squeezing out any water and larger air bubbles.
If the vinyl resists stretching into the crevices where the frame joins, warm it (the vinyl) with a hair dryer. (A heat gun may be too hot.) You may need to heat and stretch more than once.
Finally if there are any small bubbles, pop them with a pin and press the vinyl down. The tiniest bubbles will "gas out" over a few days as sign vinyl is gas permeable.

I you already knew all this, well, know so do all the other readers. :)

I quite like the original as well, although pearl would be great also.

You could always do the frame in woodgrain. (only semi-joking) :)
