Has any one successfully shimmed a set of 25.4 mm clamp road drop bars to fit a 26.0 mm stem clamp ?
These Nitto stainless steel shims.....
.... are a bit pricey at over $10, though likely very good quality
Me's tinkin' of approaching my local steel supplier for some 0.3 mm thick stainless
Problems with drop bars is the amount of leverage and the potential slippage that it presents
Any one here had any experience with the above ?

Most of my shims I make out of empty aluminium cans. If the gap is too large and in this case I suspect it is, you can buy aluminium shim from model shops in a thickness of your choice. costs less than what you showed but they are not so attractively packaged.

Rough up the surface of the shim with a rat tail file if you're worried, that might work

Maybe try SKF bearings if they're near you - they have LOADS of shims, however they may be more a bearing than a shim, so pretty damn slippery
