Dumb question about front derailleurs

Is the FD (Ultegra 6600) the same for compact cranks as for 'normal' cranks? I presume the RD is the same? My chainrings on my compact Shimano cranks are worn and need replacing soon and I'm a bit short on money and happen to have a 'standard' set of Ultegra cranks gathering dust in the shed that I thought I might use. Just checking to see if this will work.
