Just make sure you move your mouse to “Jagwire ripcord housing” select your colour then press click. Work well on both BB7 r and mtn.
Can't see Ripcords at either of the big 2 :( Better shop around...

Yes, the housing is but it comes with cables that are single end suit mtn/flat bar levers so you also need cable that is double-ended mountain and road or just road brake, and yes spend the extra coin and go the teflon coated.

This is a good place to start and it is usd https://www.outsideoutfitters.com/m-118-jagwire.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and if you can keep the weight/ size down you can still top up pads or with other fancy usa only stuff and use the USPS First-Class Mail International Parcel for 17.38(again usd) which is still quickish ( say a week)

I use nokon cables on my front disc brake (commuter/hybrid) and BB7 (mtb version), I assume this provides a similar high compression-less cable housing. Does not quite have the power I thought they would have. Still better than rims brakes though

Unfortunately the only comparison i have is with hydraulic disc brakes (which i had on before) and the BB7's don't quite match that

Kona DewDrop with Tiagra brifters. Based on the Dew platform, Lola is technically a hybrid but I aint telling her that. I love her to bits.

Might get the MTB kit and some extra inners to suit. Anybody need teflon MTB inners?

A roundup of 10 of the new disc roadies from Eurobike

Doesn't include the Canyon or Culprit models though.

A little more on new BB7R SL from road.cc. They are going to mate it with the HS1 rotor. I was only looking last night at rotors that might give more smooth braking than my current rotors.

Looks like they are selling compressionless housings now too.

Radial spoke fail.

Why are Colnago the only ones capable of full hydro so far? Converters are a dead-end kludge.

Avanti in the game too:

The Avanti is a CX bike.

Since TRP are not doing their Hydro levers, only Formula is in the race, and that has had mised reviews. SRAM is nowhere to be seen yet which is interesting ...

Grrr looks like sram might be backing away from what initially appeared to be a summer/autumn release for a road hydraulic group...

Does that exclude it from this thread? Several of the bikes in the roundup you linked are for cx. Until discs are legal in racing it seems a more valid place to put them, on a chassis that can have racks and fenders and be an all weather commuter.

SRAM's new BB8

http://www.bicycleretailer.com/new-prod ... disc-brake

But no hint on the much awaited SAM hydro's ...

At Eurobike earlier this month, a SRAM spokesman said the company has "no timeframe" for introducing a hydraulic actuated road disc brake and lever. The company showed journalists some illustrations of the hydraulics earlier this year.

I don't think hydros will be life-changing anyway. Also, you may find they are extremely expensive when first released.

I know, but I still want it !!!!

The reality is that I am more than happy with the TRP Parabox, but will look at the different brake cable when they need to be replaced.

The short runs on the TRP probably wont yield a huge improvement compared to a full cable run, but every little bit helps :D

For those with a lazy $18,660 AUD or so for a Colnago C59 disc.

agree re comments posted on the page - for THAT price, cables should have been managed in a much cleaner fashion.
and the finish on the CF shifters is fugly.

Bargain ... :o

So, if you take out the 3,800 quid for the frame, that leaves an astonishing 8,200 for the rest of the bike ..... Something's not quite right there.

Especially given the reviews posted online re the not quite so flash shifting, lever feels and brakes during recent test rides ...

Amen to that. It'll look awesome permabolted to the roof of the owners Quattroporte.

It's not Colnago, but Formula that are the full hydro. TRP was heading down the same path with their Hywire, but abandoned it.

Online reviews of the Formula system were not that complementary, so it remains to be seen how much better it gets.

The non-appearance to date of the SRAM system, even at Interbike is interesting. My $0.02 is that the lever feel isn't there yet. Fitting the bits in is one thing, but getting the lever feel and power is the hard bit.

The converters may be a kludge, but they still work pretty well. I'm happy with mine :D

question for all you disc roadies, do you guys get any rotor rub when doing out of the saddle climbing/riding?

I did a disc conversion on my commuter, flat bar/dynamo/surly 1x1 fork/bb7, i get rotor rub whenever I get out of the saddle and its not big hills either (think bike path and taking off at traffic lights). I can lessen it somewhat by being very very light with my hands.

edit: i guess the question can probably go out to any disc brake users.

When I first got the volagi I used to experience this, but tightening up the qr a tad and getting the pads adjusted right I haven't had a problem again, and have never had it with hydraulics on the MTB.

Some poopoo hydraulics, but the self correcting pad adjustment is a big plus other than just improved feel.
