haha I thought you liked truckacino Andrew? :) I would have preferred another colour but couldn't get a 46cm in any other! Would a green camo job be over the top? ;)

The next step.
It is not a bike frame this time...

Hooly is going back to work...

It is stil home based, but I wil be working for Dupont as a technical sales consultant. :D
In the next week or so, i wil have my new buisnesscards, wil post pictures up in here.
After weeks of intervieuws and technical assesments they choose me over 50 other applicants

So no more painting bicycle frames... :(

But I am looking forward to my new job.

latest project :

The owner liked the original design, just not the color...
So we got the original art work from craftworks, and their permission so the owner can keep the frame warranty.

We went with a candy orange, and all the artwork is painted in black metallic.
Of course the picture doesn't do it's full justice, but it give a nice impression. 8)

I'll have some work for you come December or more likely January.

I have to replace a dented chainstay on my son's bike so we'll need a repaint.

He wants british racing green with a cream head tube inset and seat tube panel with gold lugstriping. I'm going to use MS2 stainless for the new chainstays so I want to look at leaving the drive side chainstay unpainted.

Impressive! The bike has nice lines which are totally fudged by the OEM livery. Your rework has improved the look exponentially.
Love the glass smooth finish too, not one bit of orange peel to be seen 8)

Funny , no orange peel considering the color...

As this is an 'candy orange' and this is hard to paint, I first finished the orange and sealed it of with clearcoat.
I then sanded the clearcoat with a fine sanding paper and painted the black bits and re-cleared the whole bike again.
Hence the silky smooth finish... ,it feels good too..

A lot of work, but I am happy with the results..
