But where'd be the fun in that?MountGower wrote:I have to say.......about the MTB.......stop torturing me for goodness sake. The Trek is not an MTB......the Sow's ear is hardly a friggin' bike at all. What they both surely must be is for sale and for sale only.
Richard

If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

Hi Richard,
first reaction on seeing the Jamis fit shots was just how sweet it all looks put together...
My second reaction was that I can see a lot more wall between your elbow
and your 'speed hump' now!
Comparing that recent photo with your avatar must give you a great feeling, the weight loss is quite evident.
Well done on all counts. And thanks for a very entertaining build lesson.
cheers,
Marcus

Richard, I was going to suggest one tiny modification to this magic build of yours to help you squeeze a bit more performance out of her.......respray her in a blindingly bright red! But seeing your doing 46kph already, blue is the perfect colour.
Mate, I have to agree with the others and say that you can really notice the shrinking hump!!!!!!
Well done.

OK, that's it. No more excuses - I'll see you in January for the TdU Challenge stage. As Dr. Seuss would say: "One bike, two bike. Red bike, blue bike"!
It does look good and I find riding a bike that I put together very satisfying, so riding one where you even built the wheels should be even more so.

Thanks for spotting the weight loss
Paint her RED?
The lad and I watched The Italian Job, the original version, not the crappy hollywood remake, and the red of one of the Minis is supurb
But I can't have another red bike, the Toscana is red ... I hope.
btw Mike, that wasn't an average speed of 46, that was the distance done, but thanks for believing me capable of it
