Cyclocross bike build/conversion

I have an ancient 90s Malvern Star Phase 2 hybrid and was wondering if it was possible to convert this to a unit suitable for cyclocross?

As a novice/no idea bike upgrader the sage advise of the list would be appreciated.

What's a Malvern Star Phase 2 hybrid? Photos? Specs?

For a start, you'll need to find ways to mount those centre-pull brakes and the ability to re-route your cables via the top tube. A trip to a frame builder may be required for some localized welding.

See I told you I had no idea what I was doing.
