Re-Cycling

Postby ozrider » Fri May 20, 2011 10:11 am

Like most of us I ended up with a selection of bikes and bits so I decided to do a bit of re-cycling.

First the old Iron horse chromoly Hybrid

Removed all the old heavy wheels, bars etc and replaced with all the bits of my old alloy road bike.

Mavic rims, Alloy Drops, Tiagra shifters, 9 speed cassette, chain etc. (Tiagra double shifter works fine with triple Crankset)

So Before - old heavy 21 speed hybrid

After - not so old 27 speed tourer / rain bike

Next, old alloy road bike has been stripped, repainted and will be reborn as a flat-bar single speed / fixie with bling wheels.

Should have it finished next week, perfect for a bit of fun and and an indoor trainer.

(Sorry for the size of the pics, nothing I do changes them... :( )
Some people are like Slinkies, they're really good for nothing..

..But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!
