This may have come up before but its new to me.
Last night I whacked a pothole and the jolt made my right brifter slip a few mm down the handlebar.
I stopped to check the wheel which was ok but I noticed the brake had adjusted itself from loose to tight.
Obviously what happened was that the brake outer cable being wrapped to the handlebar stayed put and the inner was pulled taught by the brifter.
In my case there was no damage or downside but had the brakes been tightly adjusted they would have locked on with the jolt - nasty.
tighten those brifters
