What wheels ?

Looking good so far. Not a fan of white bits (like bars etc), but the bar tape will be interesting to see when it is done.

Nice, my Le Roi broke in a crash. Wish I still had it.

Build went well - all the parts are on but i just couldnt get the tuning right on the FD and RD. SRAM was abit to tricky for us. So its at the bike shop for them to tune it up, and cut the steerer for me. So the virgin ride will be this weekend (cmon weather gods, gimme some sun!)

Wheels will be Fulcrum 5s from my existing bike. Match my black/white/red color scheme nicely.

BTW
Im doing this build sort of on the cheap. Just how cheap? Ill be posting my costs up in abit, i think ive done pretty well... :D

Costs:
Frame - $799 from Torpedo 7
Bars - $36 from PBK
Seatpost - $29 from PBK
Crankset - $252 from PBK (super bargain for SRAM Red Black)
Groupset - $879 from Total Cycling
Bartape - $14 from eBay
Saddle - $80 from forums
Bottle cages - $10 for both
Stem/wheels - borrowed from other bikes

TOTAL COST = $2099

But I also won a Grolsh promo bike which I sold for $650.

TOTAL COST = $1449
  Pretty Happy with that!

Great deal on the frame there. Just goes to show what a bit of clever shopping and some patience can yield !! Can't wait to see the complete pics

Yeah the bell looks dorky but after getting a $30 fine last year for not having one, I'm better off safe than sorry. Good to have on the bike paths too for rogue pedestrians.

Bartape is great - soft and grippy. I'm really happy with how the colors turned out.

I fit the bell under the handlebars. Just fit it so the 'ringer' is on the thumb side of the handlebars.. Keeps the top of the bars looking clean and tidy.

If a bell saves a $40 fine. Who cares what it looks like  . Same as the lid i got a $100 fine for not having one on a few years back. One fine i will never forget

Good idea Kenzo, I might try that and see what it looks like.

Yeah the bell was only $3 so the fine was worth 10 bells

On another note. This is first bike I haven't put a computer on....and I love it. Simple riding with no numbers is kinda relieving. There's always Strava on the iPhone if I have to see how my ride went tho.

Thanks guys I'm loving the new girl. Hope my real Italian girlfriend doesn't get jelous haha

Updated photos from this mornings ride. Changed the Prologo Evo saddle (it looked good and colors matched beautifully but sadly my butt did not like it). Now back to the trusty Fizik Arione in red/white. Added resin Bottle cages and fizik saddle pack. Todays ride is the first on new rubber - pair of red Michelin Krylions 23c.

After a few months riding, I am abssolutely loving this bike. Comfy ride, much less harsh than my alloy Cannondale. I get a good position with the Deda bars and 110mm stem. Love the Sram Force/Red grouppo - even if it is finicky with tuning. The Krylions are awesome too - once you wear the layer of wax they come with off - much better cornering and grip than the gatorskins. Lets see how they go with puncture protection.

Very happy cyclist right here

Very pleasing on the eye, this build looks top shelf and well matched. The le Roi frame oozes class - love the splash of green at the bottom of the fork. Your images do it justice. Good thread to follow - enjoy!

I have considered fitting a bell to the seatpost, under the saddle so it's not noticable. Anyone tried that?

Did you have to face / chase the bottom bracket before install?

What did you think? I got about four punctures on my Krylions in about 2.5 years before the inner tubes started showing through the tyre carcass in a big cut. I probably got about 5,000 km out of them (which is apparently what they are designed for). I loved them.
