Lets see your shed/workshop

I was wondering what the rest of you guys and girls have as a shed/workshop.

I'm looking for inspiration for my workshop. So show the rest of us what you have in your shed.

What bike stands
Work benchs
Heating/cooling
Tools
Entertainment

Sorry I dont have any pic of my shed as it just a mess at the moment, but I do have a slot car track set up, basic woodworking tools and just picked up a potbelly stove.

Post your pics and show off your castle.

Only just completed this: (double garage conv.)

Image

Hung bikes on the wall with Feedback Velo wall racks.
Each arm individually adjustable so you can level the bikes. :)

Feedback Pro Ultralight work stand tucked away between the cupboards

All the tools, spares, junk food tucked away / hidden from the missus in the cupboards.

Just need to get a tv and couch in there...

That sir is epic. I love your wall. Care to disclose your Spares and Junk Food Inventory (and stock levels) with us :)

Are the bikes particularly difficult to get off from the wall?
That is a dream workshop indeed.

Ah. I was thinking of a thread like this and was just waiting to take a picture of the workshop in a tidy state. I used to have a rule that I wouldn't start work until the shop was clean; consequently, I never got any work done, so I dropped that rule.

I'll add to this thread as soon as I get home from my tour.

Nice setup! I am in the planning stages for mine. Sadly, don't have quite that much space. Where did you get your workbench and cupboards?

If I could see it, I'd post a picture, but I've got about 3days worth of tidying up before I get to a state where a picture will look like a workspace and not a junk pile. When the car is in the 2car garage I have about enough room to swing half a cat.

It's just not fair when the first entrant blows everyone else into the weeds.

I suspect Dugy of using PEDs, but it may be that I am just jealous :D

Cheers.
Shelving, cabinets, benches were all from DMD Shelving in Bibra Lake WA.
Not as good quality as say Boscotek, but cheaper. However better quality an cheaper than the Kinchrome or similar stuff sold at tool shops.

Where's the Bianchi/Pinarello garages?
Or are they kept in glass cabinets in the lounge room? ;)

Well, it's not as pretty as dugy's and you can't play pool on the bench, but it holds up a can of Guinness pretty well.

My bike shed is 1.5m x 3m with 5 bikes (2 road, 1 wife's mtb, 2 kids), 2 scooters, a bike trailer, a bunch of camping stuff and a stack of wood working tools. Sometimes, if I'm really lucky I can walk more than 1 step into it. Requires me to remove several bikes first though!

My woodworking shed is similarly cramped. 2m x 3m, with a long bed wood lathe, workbench, floor standing drill press, Triton 2000, disk sander, grinder, bandsaw and dust collector as well as all of the other stuff that one seems to require. I have more tools than space, that's for sure! I've been tempted to give the woodworking away and use the space for bikes (not to mention what selling all of the kit would buy me at the LBS  ) but I know I'll come back to it soon enough.

Love that double garage conversion. The pool table just says it's all, really

I'm impressed with funnybikes as well. Well laid out, and well equipped. Looks great.

My shed is quite basic by comparison to some but here is a little idea of mine that seems to work OK

SWMBO did not like the Ikea knife magnet that someone gave her so i "requisitioned" it for workshop duties...

That is unreal!! :D With a TV and a couch in there, you'd be all set for TdF time. Bikes on the wall, TdF on tele, hopefully some heating in place to keep the space warm. I won't post mine, it's entirely feeble in comparison.

My shed is often occupied by pesky rolling stock, so it's a shared resource.
