Hi there,

I'm pretty ordinary when it comes to most bike tech so I was just wondering if a press fit BB should sit flush with the frame?
The cranks feel pretty stiff to turn (should be past the initial stiffness of the break in period) and I was wondering if it could be in need of a service.

I've posted a pic below, not sure if the gap is supposed to be there

The cups have small lips that should sit flush with the edge of the BB shell.
If you're getting some binding then it's possible that the shell has not been properly faced.

Took it down to the LBS and all is now well! Had to be pressed in a little bit further to the lip of the BB, should save me a few watts in resistance
