Hi All -
potentially retarded question - but the multitude of BB standards leaves me fairly confused ....
What road cranks are compatible with the Shimano Press Fit BB71 BB ?
and are there any adapters to use BB30 cranks in this BB71 ?
I like the FSA K-Force Light compact crankset ....but looks like its only made for BB30 or MEGAEXO or 386EVO ...
thanks for clearing this up - cheers
Paul

This is a good document (published by FSA) with an FSA viewpoint.
Also shows how screwed up all the "standards" have become, much like headsets ...
Such a PITA ....

Next option is to contact a manufacturer of adaptors (such as HSC Ceramics in Aus) and ask.
Just specify what frame you have and what crank, and they'll set you straight
http://www.hscceramics.com.au/HSC-Bike- ... acket.html
Have a look here, as it states the shell ID's and widths, so you may need to measure to get a better understanding of what you actually have.
Whether ceramics are worth it, is another thread entirely

Good video on bottom bracket standards. No mention of BB71 though.

Shimano BB71 press fit is not a standard, but a model of BB. I believe it conforms to BB86 standard, and suits Shimano Hollowtech II cranks.
