I'm about to replace my old chain and cassette but I'm thinking of keeping hold of them for those days when I have to tow my toddler around in his trailer (I've always thought that these towing duties must be hard work on my chain).
The cassette is easy as I can keep it on a spare wheel and swap it in/out as necessary but taking the chain off/on all the time would be bit of a pain unless I use a connector (it's a pinned Shimano chain so no connector used until now). I suspect using a new conector with an old chain will cause me hassles, but I thought I'd float the idea to see if anyone can tell me different.
Cheers
Jean
