Servicing Gipiemme Tecno 716 Pro Wheelset

I have a old Tecno 716 Pro wheelset that is making some grinding noise from the rear hub when under pedaling load. There is a little play in the rear axle bearings but for the life of me I cannot see a way of getting the axle out.

Anyone had any experience with these hubs and how to pull them apart? They are not your normal cone and lock-nut setup?
