Hi all,
I have a chip on the underneath the seat stay of my bike - just found it cleaning it - looks like a small stone has chipped off the top bit of the carbon (not all the way thru) - sorry to appear daft but can it be fixed?
And an even more stupid question - is bike still OK to ride?
I know nothing about carbon frames (or bikes in general really) and wonder if such a small (1/2cm) chip has damaged the integrity of the frame - its black so very hard to see and ony noticed it giving it a polish for ride on weekend.
thanks for any info - hubby away and no mobile reception in mining camp site so can't ask him.
thanks so much
fiona

If its a stone chip, it'd be nothing to worry about. Touch it up with a bit of clear nail polish at some point to seal it up.

Brilliant thanks -
99% sure it is stone chip - a couple of times have heard a few hits & looked and found nothing -
but did not look that high for any marks - generally only check the bottom bits - only noticed tonight because it was turned upside down to clean.
thanks so much.
