Dura Ace FD-7900 with Ultegra 6700 front shifter?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has successfully mated a Dura Ace 7900 front derailleur with an Ultegra 6700 STI shifter.

I am looking to upgrade and have heard that the pull ratio won’t work with the above setup, but will work the other way around, i.e. Dura Ace shifter with Ultegra FD-6700. Not sure if the pull ratio is too long or too short?

I have checked the compatibility chart and Shimano say it won’t work. But like all things, it may be possible, just wondering if it has been done by anyone out there.

I have done it by accident (bought a 7900 DA derailleur because I didn't research it first) and it does NOT work. This is not like Shimano's "B" compatibility like with mixing Ultegra 6600 and 6700 where it will work fine unless you are really fussy, this will not work properly at all. The derailleur will shift okay but you will have really bad chain rub at one end of travel that cannot be adjusted or trimmed out with the lever.
