So i'm trying to get the handlebars out of a quill stem. They aren't actually stuck, but beside where the stem sits. There are corrugates holes.
Somehow I cannot get the stem over the holes.
Can someone help me out?
Matt

Pry open the stem a little with a screw driver or similar device. Be careful about scratching if you're worried about that.

I've had success in the past by putting a large flat bladed screwdriver or open ended spanner in the stem jaws and levering open a small amount.mattwilkinson wrote:So i'm trying to get the handlebars out of a quill stem. Thanks for the link, two hours later I made it back to fourms. Lots of things I have not seen before.baabaa wrote:You know you want the right tool for the job
