Anyone know how to get a hold of 290mm or 291mm Pillar triple butted spokes locally? Pillar don't seem to answer direct emails.

Yeah, same. Shipping is an absolute packet, and they rather inconveniently do 32 but not 36 8)

On Ebay this shop was selling them. Perhaps call them, They are in Victoria.

Yeah, they're "on leave" from ebay. Will call cyclic tomorrow.

I believe Bicycle Parts Wholesale are a distributor for Pillar spokes. Three caveats though: one, they don't sell direct to public, so you'll have to go through your LBS, however I believe they are quite helpful to direct enquiries, and will advise if they have the appropriate product, and will direct you to a nearby shop who deals with them. Second, I'm not sure how much of the Pillar range they import; triple-butted spokes are pretty uncommon in any case. Finally, odd-numbered length increments are incredibly rare, regardless of spoke manufacturer or sales source. If the figures you have are derived from an online spoke calculator, go back to the exact measurement given (they'll usually provide an exact calculation, and a rounded calculation) and round the exact figure off to the nearest even-numbered increment; e.g. if the calculator says 290.x, round it down to 290mm, if it says 291.x, round up to 292mm.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

I have gotten several sets from Cyclic via ebay for three wheelsets. Will call the shop. BDop does 291's, but 290 will do.
