Tyre Pressure Vs Weight

Hello,

I am looking to see what other riders around my weight are inflating their front and rear road bike tyres to

I am 5 ft 11 and 104kg

I have been told 100psi to 130psi but my tyres have a max of 120psi

Any suggestions that will still give me tread on the road and still have the correct rolling resistance

Thanks

auswi2

I'm heavier than you and use 110 (F) and 115(R) and the rig rolls fine on good roads and shitey ones also.

cheers

Read all about it from Sheldon Brown. A gospel of knowledge on that site.

Grab some scwhable Durano 25's and run about 90-100 psi... cycling heaven, fast and long lasting.

Never go to the maximum. There is no need.

As above, 90 to 100psi is more than enough.

Higher pressures will cause premature wear (and possibly failure) of your equipment.
