Degreaser stains

Postby bianchi928 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 3:34 pm

I know this has been covered before but I cannot uncover it with the search function.

Can anyone advise how to remove the stains that degreasers can cause on chrome cranks and black rims of if indeed this is possible.

(Degreasers, lubes etc have been well covered on this forum so please no comments on wether to degrease or not. It's for a guy at work who has just purchased a second hand bike and asked me what I thought of the marks)

Thanks in advance.

S'pose it depends on the nature of the degreaser. First try would be a good scrub with a metho soaked rag.
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.
