Apologies to My Children

Postby ValleyForge » Tue Apr 09, 2013 8:18 am

I need to come clean & apologise to my kids for my tardy bike maintenance.

I'll keep my bikes running perfectly, and chase down any squeak or noise, but was horrified when I checked my kids bikes on the week-end. Both coaster hubs were gummed up and the chains were coated in what looked like RockyRoad.

Both bikes are nearly 4 years old, and I don't recall ever bothering to look carefully at them. But now, I've been sorely embarrassed into action and what a huge improvement a soak and some new PTFE grease in the hub can achieve!

Sorry guys!

Me too, I had to be reminded to tighten my sons seat a few times, he kept knocking it back into position, but it really needed tightening.
