Wheelset compatibility

hi guys. Just looking at changing a wheel set but i've got some questions about the compatibility of drop outs and the rear hub measurements.

My current road bike (old repco) has 6 sprockets on the rear wheel so I would assume its 6 speed. Looking at buying a wheelset with 7 speed hub and 7 speed cassette. the rear hub of the wheelset measures 130mm. Is that going to be compatible with the configuration of my current road bike? I think my current road bike rear drop out is 126mm.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've narrowed, rather than widened, my old steel Ricardo from 126mm to 120 (or so) to suit a Surly fixed gear hub
