Campy Veloce chain on 6700 Ultegra drivetrain?

Postby Xplora » Wed May 08, 2013 4:19 pm

I've been recommended to run a Campy chain because it's Better than the Shimano chains, just wanted the forum's view on this? Any concerns about directionality or so forth?

No idea.

However, personally, I run KMC chains - on both shimano and campy - because they can run on both and have a quick link.

.

Both 10-speed chains so should work. External width might be slightly different. You might not get as smooth shifting on the front chainrings as the 6700 chain is asymmetric (interestingly Shimano has returned to a symmetric or non-directional chain for Dura-Ace 9000 and I presume 11-speed Ultegra).
